I found him! I went to Scotland this week and found Graham MacQueen, Chief Officer/Training Officer who commanded the lifeboat. He was a little surprised to see me as I walked into his office having had no contact with him for 30 years. But I found a man who works tirelessly for charity and good causes. He is delighted to hear of the reunion, and I hope he will be signing up shortly.
