Does anybody remember Mr. Smith? Wasn't he our English teacher? He was so nice and patience with us.

Yes, I do remember him. He's my teacher as well, I think we went to the same school. I was in class with Chi, Hieu & Huy and few more boys. He's a very kind and gentle person. I remember he used to make fun of the American cowboy with a Southern accent American English, I still can picture that after 30 years. Does any know where he is now? What school was it that we went to? Perhaps we can ask anh Duc or someone who's lives in London to trace him down? I also want to get in touch with the music teacher from that same school. I don't remember his name though. He found out that I played piano, so he gave me free piano lesson. Just once or twice a week, when he had break, he would have some kids go down to get me. It was very sad when I left and missed the chance to audition for admission into a music school somewhere in London.
All and all, they were so kind to us. I think of them quite often, just wonder if I can get a chance to say "thank you" in person. Ha`

Oh come on anh Duc, Tom Cruise is nothing. You are our superman, you can track them down :-)
I am sure London has changed so much since we left in the late 70s, but in my mind I still can see Kensington Street with a small bakery across the street from my room's window (I still can smell the fresh bake bread), and a little church just around the bend. And the school, the classroom, the schoolyard...Chi told me that the barracks were gone last time she visited London, and probably the school is gone too to make room for Starbucks Coffee or some other business!
Please, please keep look for these people for us. I know buildings were gone, people moved away but good memories last forever. I hope they still remember us & we can find them.

I have more clues for Tom Cruise.... I remember his name is Tony Smith and we went to Labroke Grove School near Nottinghill Gate or Portobello market
