Are you chu Tuyen? One of the member organizing our escape. If you are then you must know our family. Welcome to the site! I hope you have picture of you and family to post on the site soon and old pictures from the Kensington days for everyone to enjoy. let me know if you can make it to the reunion in CA. I think chi Tram may make it. Chi
Welcome to the site as Chi stated below. 30 years has past and its good to hear from you. I recognized who you were immediately when I noticed your name. Suddenly, a lot of special memories from back then resurfaced. You were the first person to greet my family and I during our first week at Kensington, and it was you and Chi Tram who referred me to my first job as a babysitter for a French family, which I enjoyed doing. Many of the reasons why I loved England was because of that job. The unforgettable landscapes, breathe taking sceneries, and the feel of the morning mist upon my face while taking the bus early in the morning. While crossing the bridge, I remember seeing the Thames river, alongside were boats hiding in the mystic fog. It is like a painting that will forever be imprinted in my mind. Thank you again for that opportunity and the memories. I spoke with Chi Tram a month ago from Vietnam. She will be here for the reunion and I hope you can make it as well. A la prochaine...
Hopefully you can make it to the Wellpark reunion. It is the only day when old friends can reunite and share memories that we've experienced together from London. Most importantly, we can honor those who saved our lives like Captain Hector Connell, Andrew Griffin, and the rest of the crew members. Thank you for your inquiry regarding my family. I am now retired and taking care of my three children. My oldest son is now 25 and was in optometry school, but recently switched to dental, my daughter is 19 and currently at UCI, and my youngest son is only 10 and still in grade school. Our family and love ones all reside not far from each other in southern California. Our lives are very normal and live it just like anyone else. I am presently writing a short story on our escape for the Wellpark memory book "Journey to freedom". How about yourself?. Have you ever been to the States? I would love to hear about it. Nghia Vu
Do you happen to have pictures of our boat anywhere? I need for our book project. In addition, do you think you can contribute a short story of your memory of our escape?
