Welcome to the site! I saw your comment on the picture of your beautiful daughter taken w/Mr Griffin (the man in the picture holding your baby, who passed away in 2006 due to cancer). Were you the mother and baby that Mr Griffin gave up his cabin to? If you are, please response to member Carmel Griffin (Mr Griffin's daughter), she was looking for the baby her father gave up his cabin to 30 years ago. I cannot believe I have found your family !!! Your little girl feels like she is part of our family, she was so beautiful and this was the picture that has been used everytime we heard about the rescue. She must be my age too, I think thats why Dad was so fond as I would have just turned 3 when the rescue happened.

I am so happy that you and your family are well and I hope your daughter is too.

Have you seen the Denholm newsletter as that picture is the one on the fron, its also the one the newspapers used after Dad died.

Hi, I am Pat, my husband is the person in the picture with your daughter. I liked the photo so much, that I drew a picture of it all those years ago, it has been on our wall for ages, it began to deteriorate some years ago, so I scanned it and made a copy which is still on my wall in the room I am typing from today. I am still in shock to hear the sad news about your daughter (even though she passed away 10 years ago). I am very sorry for your loss. She was a very beautiful baby. That picture was famous 30 years ago and it is still famous today. What a tragic that the two beautiful people in the picture are no longer with us. They are now in a better place.
