Reunion on BBC1 London 'Inside Out' 7.30pm Weds 1st October
Hi all,
The story of the reunion will be on BBC1 'Inside Out' at 7.30pm on Wednesday...you can watch it if you live in London. If not it should be on their website from Wednesday onwards http://www.bbc.co.uk/insideout/london/
I really hope you like it, especially Huy, Diep and Paul. It was a rush job....they make the stories in 3 days (they had to give me an extra day!). I wish there was more about why you had to leave Vietnam but the bosses didn't seem to want to dwell on it....I suppose for 7.30pm on BBC1 they like to keep it not too political - (they put the heavier stuff on a bit later generally).
Thank you to everyone who was interviewed, filmed, involved.......
Some of you will recognise yourselves from the archive news footage by the way. I think Chi is the girl coming off the coach in London.....there is loads I didn't use, including footage of the Connells and Mike taking one of his photos, and Hieu being interviewed on the Wellpark. I wish I could have used more but 8 minutes was a very short time to fit everything in. Also I just heard BBCNews 24 are going to cut the story down to 2 minutes and show it on that channel too.

Can you see it here? http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/check/london/realmedia/news/lond... It may be that BBC licencing restrictions mean it is not visible outside the UK. If you can see it, fast forward about 10.17 minutes into the programme. We're all biassed but it is too short!

Jo, you have done a great job! Even though it was short but it captured the story nicely. They also mentioned that you can see more (I guess a longer version) on InsideOut London 7:30 pm. Yes, this is the 'chopped' version, and it isn't as well 'rounded' as a result of that. I'll keep trying to find a link so you can see the longer version.

Actually maybe I had it wrong..I thought you could watch the latest version of 'Inside Out' on the bbc/insideout website, but I think it's just the latest news. So sorry about that. Sometimes people put it up on youtube. I'll keep my eyes out. The proper version is 8 minutes.
And I'm sure there was a shot of Chi coming off the coach in 1978 in London, but I think they cut it to fit the voice-over the other day when I wasn't there. You might just be able to catch her..

Hi Chi,
No I didn't write the article...the BBC copied it from the commentart me and the executive producer had written to go over the film. I didn't even know they were going to do that actually.
Did you get to see the Inside Out yet?

I put the Inside Out show onto YOUTUBE, the file is too big so I have to break it into 2 parts.
Go to www.youtube.com then search for Wellpark Reunion, you should see two video clips from HuyNguyenUK
Good for people who are not member of this website
