Nghiem Vu is my older sister. Chi, Thuy, Van, and Luan are my nieces and nephew. We all left Vietnam in 1978 with my Mom to London. We arrived in California in 1980. It is very fortunate that we are all still together after that unforgettable experience. I am also happy that we all reside near one another. I still reminisce about the time we all shared together in England. My sister would relax with her tv, and I would take my Mom, nieces, and nephew to the swapmet, where Mom would enjoy her roasted chestnuts. Soon after, we would take the bus down to So Ho to indulge ourselves with some hot wonton noodles. Now that my Mom passed away, I believe she has always and will always look over us for the rest of our lives.
I am now married with 3 children, whom are all grown up. Besides looking after them, I spend most days tending my garden and meeting with old friends from High School (Charles de Gaulle & Fraternite) on the weekends.
I am so glad that you find your way back to the site. Thank you for hosting the delicious lunch again. It was so goooood.
Thank you for keeping and posting all the wonderful pictures on the site. I enjoy your beautiful writing. That's how I remember you as a talented writer and poet. Your niece, Chi
Beautiful writing on the description about yourself. We knew you are gifted and not often get to see your writing. The last was when I was in England and somehow got to read some of your poems. Unfortunately, everyone can't view your handwriting or drawings on here. It's as lovely as your thoughts.
Ditto what Chi and Van wrote. I think it would be terrific if you could write down any recollection you have about our journey and our lives in London? I would love to see your story on our Memoir/Journal.
Hi Nghia,
It's very nice of you to address to me as Anh Tuyen although I've got my Freedom Bus Pass ( given to OAP for free travelling in London and surrounding areas on buses & undergrounds ) four years ago . You make me feel "young at heart" again ! Anyway ,how 's family ? I hope and pray that you and all of Wellpark members (young and old ) would succeed and enjoy life from their hard work. For our Wellpark reunion I will try to be there I will certainly get in touch with your little sister once I sort out my work commitment .
Tuyen
Co Nghia,
I just left a message on your cell. Since you are online now I hope to catch you while you online. Are the pictures and video ready? Can you post all the pictures online so everyone can view them? Chi
