About Me:: Through my colleague, Howie Luong, I heard about the Wellpark and made a documentary for my MA in film-making about the story. I interviewed some Vietnamese refugees, who are now based in England, and also the British crew of the Wellpark who rescued them.

We would love to see you at the reunion. I think you should contact one of the major TV in England to see if they can sponsor you to come over and do a reunion film.

So far we have about 6 crew members signed up on our site including the Captain. Mike Newton is the most active. He also helps us track down some the cadets and invite them to the site. But he lost contact with most of them 30 years ago, so if you have names and contact info of any crew members and the refugees please envite them to our site or inform them of the reunion or email me and I will get in touch w/them.

So far I have confirmed that Captain Connell, his wife and Mrs Griffin will be at our reunion.

I am going over with mum, husband and daughter, cannot wait to meet people, maybe something like Inside story with the BBC would support the visit. I had thought about contacting the journalists that had covered Dad's death in the papers to see if they were interested ina follow up story, I think it would make a great piece on inside story or maybe the one show ????
